Annerley is located in the inner south of Brisbane, about 6km south of the CBD. Annerley is considered one of Brisbane's most liveable suburbs because of its good access to education and employment, along with being well connected by public transport and major roads. Much of the suburb is elevated, lying on a ridge that gives views of the city. It is a diverse and welcoming community with a mix of young professionals, families and retirees.

Ipswich Road, a major arterial road, also runs through the suburb providing locals with easy access to surrounding areas. Annerley is also well-connected by public transport with many bus routes and trains available from nearby Fairfield Station or Boggo Road/Park Road Station.

Annerley education

Located in Annerley is Junction Park State School – a government primary school for boys and girls, Mary Immaculate Primary School – a Catholic primary school for boys and girls, and Our Lady’s College – a Catholic secondary school for girls. There is no government secondary school in Annerley. The nearest government secondary school is Yeronga State High School in neighbouring Yeronga to the south-west.
