Flinders View is divided by the Cunningham Highway, which also serves as the northern and southern borders of the suburb. Flinders View consists of four estates: Fairview Rise, Kensington Hills, Jacana Place, and Flinders Crest. Major parks in the area are Fairview Park and Nugent Park. Winston Glades is the name of the local shopping centre. The shopping centre has recently undergone changes. Supa IGA has expanded, and Pizza Hut and Network Video have moved to a new area. The origin of the suburb name comes from the view and proximity to Flinders Peak from the suburb of Flinders View.
