Graceville is well serviced by the public bus network. Travel by rail is also easily accessible via the Graceville Railway Station. Located on the Brisbane-Ipswich line, this station is served by trains from Brisbane City, Caboolture, Ipswich, Nambour, Redcliffe Peninsula, Rosewood and Springfield.
Located within Graceville is Graceville State School, a government primary school, and Christ the King School, a Catholic primary school.
There are no secondary schools in Graceville. The nearest government secondary schools are Corinda State High School in Corinda to the south and Indooroopilly State High School in Indooroopilly to the north.
Located in the suburb is Graceville Quarter and the Superior Fruit Kitchen, a fresh produce store and deli. Sherwood Central shopping centre is also located nearby.
Rated by locals as among the best streets in Graceville are Honour Avenue, Molonga Terrace and Jaora Street.
Catch a film at The Regal Twin, the last of Brisbane’s twin cinemas. It occupies the site of the original open air theatre called Graceville Picture Gardens which prevailed during the silent movie era until a ‘proper’ movie theatre was built in the 1930’s. Today it screens the finest selection of Australian, British and foreign films.
Take a look at Graceville Memorial Park, one of few surviving recreational grounds from the 1880s in Queensland.
Located in the park is a copper memorial scroll handmade by local Ernest Gunderson in the 1920s for the 51 Sherwood residents killed in WW1. The ornamental cricket grandstand hails from the Great Depression, built in 1936, and is one of only three that still remain in memorial parks throughout Brisbane. The other historical remnant building is the croquet club, built between 1924 and 1929 which is still operational today.
