The Gap is a hilly, green suburb within Brisbane, situated 8km west of Brisbane’s Central Business District. Originally heavily forested area that became a timber felling industry when the Europeans arrived. It got the name due to its geographical location between Mouth Coot-tha and Enoggera Hill. The Gap is shares a border with a great deal of forestry with Mouth Coot-Tha and Enoggera Reservoir. It is surrounded by Upper Kedron, Keperra, Ashgrove, and Bardon.
